About Me

I am a U.S.–Guatemalan licensed attorney and notary with over 10 years of professional experience, specializing in immigration law.

I have worked closely with government institutions on the drafting and implementation of the Immigration Code Regulations (including the Guatemalan Visa Regulations, Guatemalan Residency Regulations, and the General Regulations of the Immigration Code), with the aim of safeguarding the human right to migrate to Guatemala. I am also certified by the Guatemalan Migration Institute as a workshop facilitator on the Migration Code and its Regulations, providing training to public-sector institutions and civil society organizations on the proper application of these regulations.

Additionally, I have been invited as a speaker by the Migration Law Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to deliver informative talks, workshops, and training sessions on Guatemalan migration legislation and its implementation.
